Technology Use in Time Management -

The pros and cons of carrying around a Blackberry to assist in time management are two fold. At least, I can think of one good reason why I wouldn’t want to have all of my information on a Blackberry. If it gets lost, that is a lot of personal information on one device. The pro of course, would be that you don’t have to use paper and you can change appointments at the touch of a button. Who can live without a delete button these days?
I have used a a Palm for over a year now and wouldn't be without it! My whole life is in there and it is password protected so that it's inaccessible to others. Mine is a Zire and it synchs to my desktop so that I can enter info on both. I only spend about 5 - 10 minutes a day organising and entering data and I always know where I am with things - be it shopping lists, to-dos, calls to make. Regularly synching to the desktop does away with the fear of losing the Palm. I use it for everything at work too. I have a Filofax which I used for ten years or more but it is bulky and I am just about to dispense with it altogether. If you can borrow a P.D.A. of any sort just to experiment with (or get someone who has one to actually show you what they are capable of) I promise you will be amazed! The only thing is that you HAVE to get into the habit of updating it ... just as you would a paper list ... but this soon becomes a habit and the benefits of doing so are enormous!
Well i've had a PDA for about 7 years. I just realized this message is almost a yr old, LOL but while when i'm buckling down it helps, i find it just as easy to push the ignore button on there. And as far as losing it, i've never lost one, but if it sits with the battery dead long enough it will be completely wiped out.
