well if you havnt done this, make sure you seperate everything into different binders. i also find if you can its better if you can use a laptop to put your notes from paper into. its alot easier to read and you can just print everythign etc.

Separate work from different subjects.
Take out any notes, tests, quizzes that you no longer need from your folders or else they take up unnecessary space.
Keep the things that you need in one place so you can easily find it when you need it.
Of course, the supply that I always found most useful was a planner. It could just be a simple notebook, journal or pieces of paper. But at long as you are able to keep a list of your homeworks or a to-do list . This always helped me keep track of the due dates for projects, HW's etc.

i have to agree that a planner would be so useful aswell. once you start to use a planner it becomes very easy and useful.

Getting organized means developing a system where the maximum can be achieved and with minimum efforts. I think if one can keep these words in mind it helps. As already said by Akari and Johnnybax these are very useful tips. I will particularly give stress on a planner and keeping all notes, all the books and notebooks of a particular subject at one place. This helps to get things easily and one doesn't end up losing concentration on finding out the study materials!

it depends on you. you should be positive, you should think positive. see, you want to grow in better shape, only the thing lacking is self-confidence. just think truely, you can do yourself everything in good way. focus on your studies.

I found the best way for me to achieve better marks in university was that I had a spiral notebook for each class. If the class had a lot of handouts I then also had a 3 ring binder. Taking notes by hand is the best way to retain this information. When studying for a test I also rephrased my notes that way I retained the information better. I hope this helps.

I will only add that as it is very important to have your notes in proper place and in a systematic way, it is also very important to exchange notes with your friends who might have some add on with what you already have.

School's probably out by now but there are great folders and organizers out there. Use them. Sort out your school work and you'll be amazed how good it feels to be orgnized.
