I use gmail and don't really worry about it because the search option is wonderful and it has almost unlimited storage. But I do delete the ads (which are ones that I wanted and subscribed!)

I agree with Janet completely. Folks, if you have not used Gmail give it a try. Bet you never go back to any other email system. I have tired Yahoo, Hotmail, MSN, AOL and other and I must say Gmail is best and believe it or not it is still in the BETA or testing phase so once Gmail starts to add more options and features. Wow.

Right now space is at almost 5GB. That I think is the highest provided by any email system and it's FREE.

I have gmail, and I don't use it much (don't care for the way it looks....)

I deal with hotmail and yahoo whenever the inbox exceeds one page. Filters keep out 99% of the spam, so the inbox don't fill up quickly.

Make sure you carefully screen your spam folders. I've had terrible luck with yahoo. It has marked my emails as spam, even when I was replying to an email somebody sent to me from their yahoo account. I've had other cases where yahoo let my emails through in some cases and didn't in others within the same day, so the filters are not consistent.

I had a friend who had a yahoo account for her home based business, and she discovered that she had been deleting lots of prospective customer contacts that went straight to her spam folder.

My yahoo account is ONLY for shopping online. To be honest, not much spam is there in the first place... and what is there truly is junk.

Hotmail is the account that gets a lot... but the filters there work well... at least for me!
