Thats why it ends up becoming cluttered. You put it off for so long and you continue to put things on top of things, it gets worse. I'm trying to learn how to just clean it when i feel the need. | | | | Junior Member | | Posts: 5 Join Date: May 2007

That's us! We put it off and put it off and then it's unmanageable, or seems so. However, the start I made in my kitchen has been very good and even the kids are noticing and trying to help maintain. Next will be the living room, and we'll spread the clean through the house. It's maintaining it that's the hard part, but we need to smarten up! | | | | Member | | Posts: 56 Join Date: May 2007 Location: Bay Area

I'm the ultimate procrastinator. I just don't feel motivated to clean up. I suppose it's because I'm a virgo and we like organized messes. I'm a grown woman and my mom sends me home makers magazines and stuff trying to domesticate me and send me ideas of how to organize and decorate my home. But my home is fully functional to me and I don't see why I should change it. | | | | Junior Member | | Posts: 6 Join Date: Jun 2007

What is it with virgos flubb? There is no hope for us? hahahahaha.
If I am overwhelmed with the mess on my table... I just get one big trashbag and start throwing away paper and stuff. hehehe. | | | | Member | | Posts: 45 Join Date: Jun 2007

I pick one thing daily and it doesn't seem so overwhelming. I may do it periodically throughout the day and not at one time but I find by doing one drawer or area a day I tend to get it done. | | | | Member | | Posts: 36 Join Date: Jun 2007

Don't worry, Virgos... I'm a Sagittarian and you have entered no mess until you've seen the chaos that a Sag can create lol. I have all sorts of stuff that gets tossed where-ever, because I'm off to do something else. Even when I try to clean, I'm disorganized and end up giving up out of frustration.

I say start off with one room. The kitchen is the heart of the house so start there. Start off with the counters then the drawers and then the cupboards.
If you find yourself saying "what if I need this", throw it out. Don't look just do it.
then move on to the bathrooms. They're small and can be knocked out easily. Then move on to closets and then bedrooms. You'll feel better once you do it. And once it's done, keep it up everyday. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
