That's what my mum always said but the problem that I run into is that I go in the bathroom to clean and I find that someone has left a book in there. So I go and I take the book out to the livingroom and I realize that oh...that is really messy there... so I start cleaning there, but my daughter's things are all cluttered up here so I'm off to take them to her room.

By the end of the day, I'm left with a houseful of rooms that are started and not finished. But if I don't put the stuff away, then I am moving it over and over or tripping over it.

Yes, I very busy lately. Sometimes I even don't really have time to dust my furniture. I'm a student and my finals are just "killing" me. Can't wait till weekend.

Set aside time to do specific things. Studies first. Make sure you try to manage your time well so you don't end up overbooked though. You are only one person. Prioritize.

Tomorrow, two cabinets in the kitchen it is. I would never get the whole kitchen done in a day so I am starting small so I can succeed. Onward and upward!

Hello,

It is easy to panic and loose control. Again the idea is to have a system in place that you will follow daily. Take a few minutes daily to sort out one aspect of clutter you want to tackle. It can be as simply as clearing up a section of your desk. Getting some files ready and the moving some the bills and paper in there. Again the idea is to take smaller steps daily. Just like that clutter did not accumulate in one day, it will take time but with small steps taken daily it is much easier to do than trying to cram it all in one day. Hope this tip helps you. Please keep me posted further. Thanks

paperblizzardvictim, check if it work for you what I've done for me, I personally go for 80% Paperless works because most of the time I work for the documents are emailed to me, also with a fax enabled service people usually fax me the document and that further emailed to me as a PDF.

Hi I'm new to this site and yes I'm extremely overwhelmed! I did my first post in "Declutter Now" on sat. Have gotten some great advice so far but still feeling lost looking for advice, any is greatly appreciated.

What I posted: My house has over run me litterly! After my mother passed away almost a year ago, she lived w/me I took care of her she was in a wheelchair, she was most of my life her and my children.

I work 3 jobs, have 2 kids and animals. I have let the house go stuff everywhere, in boxes and sections of rooms, can't find nothing, can't stand to be at home but, won't leave cause it over runs me. No clue where to start or the best way to organzine it. I'm so overwhelmed, makes it hard to start a section or what to do. I've been working on sections at a time but it figureing out where to put things to catorize things, so things end up in more boxes. We have accumlated too much stuff over the years, all of us. My mom's room is still as it was the day she past away, can't bring myself to deal with it yet.

I've been reading alot of forms and Flylady trying to find some order and light at the end of the tunel. Right now I'm working on setting up a household note book trying to help me get organized with my life time to take hold and controll of it again. Tired of feeling traped by my house and feeling lost..

Sorry so long any suggestions on methods, where to start, best way to catagory things any help PLEAE!!!
