Many people choose to save up things that aren't use and have a yard sale. It takes a lot of clutter to have a yard sale and now that we have limited space, I have started using eBay instead of having yard sales. You can sale as little as one item at a time or you can list items in lots. Your choice but you don't have to wait months to have enough to list an item. You can decide that you don't want the item and list it right then! That's the great thing about eBay! | Today

I used to use ebay until I couldn't sell anything. Then I had to pay all the insertion fees and it ended up costing me money to sell rather than me making money.
I suggest making up a surprise box and only give a few goodies that are going to be in there and putting that up for bid. | | | | Member | | Posts: 63 Join Date: Jul 2007

I haven't thought about it. Actually I like this kind of idea. Because I don't usually sale all stuff during yard sales, but on ebay you can sell everything. Great tip cassiem0221 | | | | Member | | Posts: 85 Join Date: Jul 2007

I think eBay takes alot of organization though. First you have to take the pictures, then write the listing, then reply to all the emails, then pack the stuff, wait for the money and run to the post office. Of course, I listed 20 items at a time.......... | | | | Member | | Posts: 56 Join Date: May 2007 Location: Bay Area

I think ebay is good, if you have some good stuff that others want. The fees make it annoying, so I use craigslist, that way I deal locally and then I can just go meet someone if they want what I have for sale. It helps when people pay cash. | | | | Member | | Posts: 30 Join Date: Jul 2007

Technology makes life so much more easiar I tell ya. I remember back in the day when we use to haul things out to the front yard, so we could get rid of them for dirt cheap. Now all we have to do is go out to our computers and sign up to ebay and list our things. What happened to the good old days? I'm not going to lie though, I definately use ebay now because taking that crap out to the yard and bringing it back in when someone doesn't buy it is more than a hassle. | | | | Member | | Posts: 85 Join Date: Jul 2007

Thanks to this post, I started a new tote for EBay stuff. When it gets full, I am going to sit down and list it all. Maybe I can put the money towards a weekend trip or something to keep me motivated. | | | | Member | | Posts: 95 Join Date: Jul 2007

I may have to look around for things that I can get rid of on EBay. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
