Default Shoe bin - 06-15-2007, 04:07 AM

I have a shoe bin by my front door that when you walk in you put your shoes in. I don't have a problem with kids not being able to find a shoe unless they don't put it in the bin. And I don't have a clutter in front of my door of shoes as well as shoes all over my house or the closets and rooms. The good shoes have a space they go in though as to not ruin them.

Oh this is a very nice idea... I really like it. I make everyone take off their shoes before they come in, but the kids tend to leave a mountain of shoes there for you to trip over lol. This would eliminate that nicely!

I started out with a laundry basket but the kids shoes got bigger and bigger I had to graduate to a med sized bin. It works like a charm and eliminates the clutter by the door.

Glad you liked it.

This is actually a pretty good idea. We usually put our shoes in the closet in the front hallway, while our daughter puts hers in her room. Guess who can find their shoes.

You can actually store the bin in the closet!

I'm guessing you can find your shoes and she can't. My girls are notorious shoe losers. I keep telling them to put them in the bin.

I also have a sock basket for them in their room. This works great and keeps their drawer free of sock clutter.
