One problem with the home office is that you are always in both places at once. Make a time to be alone, get everyone else out of the house. Switch all phones off, turn of the computer and spend a solid couple of hours doing nothing but sorting stuff out.

hahaha couple you elaborate here and i could give some suggestions.

I think if we spend some time daily clearing up the desk then it helps. Doing it on our own might change our habits. I have seen few of my friends who are very particular about a clean home office. I think habit is also very important.

I can't operate when my office is messy. you should get office bins that way you can store and organize all of your paperwork. I know it gets confusing when you have papers everywhere and can't find anything.

I think it's impossible to work in a mess. I think you should take a day off and clean up your office. And in a future take care of it and keep it clean.
