Default Soles4Souls - 06-14-2007, 01:43 AM

A few months ago, I read an article about an organization called Soles4Souls. They accept footwear donations and deliver them to the poor in many countries. I've noticed that there are many threads where shoe organization is a problem. So now, we are aware of another option. If you've got shoes that you don't need anymore, why not donate them? According to the website, donators are eligible for tax advantages.

Akira,
Could you give us the website? I am interested in learning more about them and to see if there is any located close to where I live. I think it is awesome that there are places like that. It's wonderful to be able to help people less fortunate then ourselves.

Thanks Abe,

I was just telling my hubby about it and he said oh well we have plenty of shoes that they can have lol. Then, he went and started throwing all my shoes out of the closet shame shame on him...

Why is it that men only want to get rid of other peoples stuff?

I think it is because they think our stuff isn't as important as theirs. My hubby does the same thing .He is a pack rat and saves everything then grubbles about the clutter.(my clutter)

What a wonderful idea! I always donate shoes that my kids grow out of. My first choice is a church who hands them out to kids who need them.
