Our local library accepts donations. They sell them twice a year at their library book sales. Also, try your local schools -- they may be able to use some of the books. | | | | Junior Member | | Posts: 6 Join Date: May 2007

Have a yard sale, or donate them to a local church or other organization that might need them. A hospital might want them for their "bookmobile" that goes around to patients in care. | | | | Member | | Posts: 56 Join Date: May 2007 Location: Bay Area

You can also check out the local YMCA or boys and girls clubs of america.
So those that have sold this type of stuff on ebay how does that work? | | | | Member | | Posts: 45 Join Date: May 2007

on ebay: basically, you sign up for a seller's or buyer's account (separately). then you follow a series of steps, such as listing the item, setting the price etc. its pretty simple, the instructions could be found on the ebay.com website.
thanks for the suggestions! | | | | Administrator | | Posts: 46 Join Date: May 2007 Location: Philadelphia, USA

Hi,
You may also want try amazon or Froogle to help sell your old books. Also checkout the value of the books before you list them on eBay. Some may be considered "collectors items" depending on the condition of the book and worth more. Amazon, eBay and Froogle will provide you with good exposure to sell your old books. | | | | Junior Member | | Posts: 4 Join Date: Jun 2007
