I had no clue that a library would buy the books from you. I thought you could just donate them to the library and get a tax right off lol or is a library store different? Hope I didn't just sound dumb

Wink books - 06-15-2007, 05:21 AM

I have sold lots of books on Ebay. What I could not sell I took to my local library. Sometimes this works.Put them all in a box(in you live in the city this works well) And put them out by the street and mark the box "FREE"There are also places where you can trade your old books for other books you have not read. There is one on the web but I forget the web address.

Emergency shelters for women and children. Churches and community schools and libraries. That's what I would think.

All great suggestions here! Used book stores will also purchase old books. We are having a yard sale and hopefully some of mine will sell and then I will of course try to sell the rest on Ebay.
