How do you keep track of important dates? -

I can't keep track of all the birthdays, anniversaries, etc in my extended family. Is there a computer program (free) that I can load them into or how do you handle it?

I don't know about a computer program, but cell phone organizer works for me. I has all important information I need to remember
I use Outlook too! You can set your dates up as a reoccurring appointment to be entered yearly and they will show up on your calendar year after year until you delete the appointment. It's been a time saver for me, I have an extensive entended family also.
The other thing I like about Outlook is that I can color-code each family member so I can keep track of who needs to be where. I changed the label names in Outlook and if I need to I can print it and take it with me.
When you enter the birthday into whatever calendar system you use, make a second entry two weeks ahead as the reminder. Many electronic calendar programs have some type of advance feature that will allow you to do this easily. That way, you'll have plenty of time to get a gift or drop a card in the mail.
I have a big papercalender on the kitchen wall. Every year when I buy a new one I enter the dates. All appointments get written down on that calender. I also have a reminderservice called Mom for som birthdays.
