Default Organize your monthly receipts - 05-29-2007, 05:00 AM

Use an inexpensive 12-month accordian file to quickly and easily organize your monthly receipts and even paid bills. At the end of 12 months discard the oldest bills and receipts. This is a simple solution to that messy paperwork that can really get out of hand.

As suggested by you, it is very important to keep the recent documents. So that is why the file will keep for 12 months only, which means less paper.

I don't keep all receipts but I have to keep my business receipts and ones for items that I might need to return.

In Canada, we have to pay a tax called the GST. It is a national 6% tax that was implemented years ago to bring down the deficit. It was originally 7% but was brought down to 6% by the government in office now. So I have to prepare the GST tax credit or rebate quarterly. This helps me to keep my receipts in order quarterly for when income tax time comes.
