I make double the amount I need to put out each month for expeses.

My expenses are mortgage, cable, phone, internet, power, property taxes.

Yet I seem to be always just making payments. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

I have tried making payments bi weekly, b ut still never get ahead.

What is the secret?

Geoserv.

I'm in the same boat as you. It just seems like I never get a head of paying bills. They just keep coming and coming. I suppose it'll just become a habit that you'll have to do every couple of weeks, so I just got used to it.

Look back at your checks when you get them back. For a one month period, see what all extra you spent your money on. Do you always take out alot of cash from your check? I spend cash was too fast so started carrying only checks.

If you look at one months worth of checks, you will see where you are making the mistakes at. Slow down and think before you spend any money. Do I need this?

We all need to make our money go further...at least I do too.

Hi: do your basic expenses include a budgeted amount for food? water? heat? linsurance? Do you operate a vehicle? Do you use credit cards? Perhaps it would be helpful to keep a sm notebook to write each out-go, even for coffee to go to identify money leaks.

If you are paying interest on CC you may as well stand on your doorstep and burn $$$.
