My mom still does that. She has a lot of stuff she doesn't need, but she still keeps it. What should I do?

Well it's for nostalgia. I keep things that I don't need because of the memories. I mean if it makes her happy to keep those things then you should let her keep them. Memories are precious for a lot of people.

Maybe that's what it is, and I can't do anything with it. Well, memories are valuable too.!

What might be a good idea is to write down or tape some of her memories. What I regret most about losing my dad is that I never wrote down any of his stories and have lost them forever. With mom, we aer going through the house and video taping her memories of stuff she "has" to keep so when the time comes, we will rmember what was important about it.
