Ugh... I totally sympathize. Even with my disorganized mind, I still manage to get the smelly things cleaned LOL.

Surprisingly, my daughter recently finished a cooking class and she would come home and tell me, "Mum... I can't believe it. These kids don't know how to make spaghetti. They have no clue how to wash clothes. They are clueless!"

I started teaching my daughter the basics of cooking and cleaning when she was 4. At 8, she was perfectly capable of cooking things like macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, and spaghetti on her own. I also stressed to her the importance of cleaning up as soon as you make a mess and showing her how much easier it is to just wash stuff as soon as you're done, and then it's not all stuck on the pans.

My son is more of a battle, but after an arguement, he will cooperate and clean things up. He likes to vacuum and do laundry, so there's a bonus. Oh... and he cooks chili
