Actually, you can purchase the spice drawer inserts at many retail stores. I have a spice drawer and I love it, but a lot of kitchens don't have enough drawers to devote one to spices. Also, the drawer doesn't hold everything, so I put my "cooking" spices in the drawer and my "baking" spices on a lazy susan in my cabinet. Oversize spice containers that won't fit in the drawer also go on the lazy susan.
