What pick-up options are available in your community? We have private 'blue-box' curbside pick-up for a monthly fee or City no-fee huge 'green box' service at all shopping centres.
We have bins for newspaper/mixed paper, cans, jars, bottles and 'special ' containers which charge a deposit.
Instead of thowing these items into 'trash' we throw into their designated bin. When a bin is full, we take it to the car and drop off/dump into the correct green box on the next trip out. There are so many drop off places we pass one no matter where we go.
