Simplify Your Life and Just Organize!
I find that most people think that organizing is a step to keeping their home clean and ready for company. But really, organization is about simplifying your life by putting those things that you need routinely within arms reach and easy to find.
Simplify your life in the office by organizing your desk to put everything you use often within arms reach. Make sure your stapler, tape, pens, pencils, current files, and daily planner are all organized within reach and easily found.
This can be done with a simple desk organizer that holds pens, staples, highlighters, erasers, and other office supplies.
I have found that the best way to organize your other office supplies is with a wire file rack with sliding trays below. This type of file rack is one piece, and usually comes in pieces in a box, but is very easy to put together.
It has sliding racks that lay flat ideal for planners, books, or note pads. Above the racks is a standing file rack that is slanted upward, so that you can easily see file labels and grab exactly what you’re looking for without really looking.
Simplify your life in your bedroom by organizing your dressing items in a way that will be easy to find and offer you less stress each morning. Placing each type of lingerie item in a separate drawer is one way to do this.
If you don’t have enough dresser space, stackable drawer systems are available in the Rubbermaid isle of your local department store.
Organize your ties with a tie rack hung on a hook on the inside of your closet door, rather than bunched in with your clothes. Organize your makeup, hair accessories, and makeup in a makeup storage box that has various levels and compartments.
You can also simplify your morning by getting a large, sturdy metal hook and placing it next to your closet on the wall.
Then, get out your clothing each evening for the next day and hang it on the hook so that you don’t have to worry about what you are going to where when you are twenty minutes late for that big meeting.
Simplify your life in your kitchen by placing the tools you use often within arms reach.
Place a utensil holder next to your stove, and keep all of your most used spatulas, cooking spoons, and ladles there.
Keep your knives next to your cutting board. Keep your pots and pans near the stove, and a spinning spice rack on a counter nearby or on the wall above.
